Happy Friday! It has been a crazy busy couple of months and I’m finally getting a chance to shed some light on some recent work!! So hopefully, you’ll be seeing several updates in the next few days. This one, though, is all about Chelsea Haser and Harris Charmicheal’s recent engagement session.
These guys currently live in Augusta and are both in medical school with extremely busy schedules. I’m so glad that we were all able to find a good bit of time together in Harris’s (and my own) hometown of Jackson, Georgia.
We started out at Indian Springs State Park, which is believed to be the oldest state park in the nation.
The park is known for it’s natural mineral spring that the local Creek Indians frequented for it’s healing power. Also, this was the home of Chief William McIntosh, the part white/part Creek Indian chief who signed away the Native American lands of Georgia to the United States Government in 1825.
I don’t know that it is possible to have a young couple in a creek and the splashing of water not ensue!
After the park, we headed the few miles to the historic square of Jackson and spent a good bit of time walking around and soaking up the nostalgia of our hometown.
This couple has a great sense of humor and zeal for life! So it’s no surprise that I had a really great time taking their engagement pictures. Chelsea ended the day by preparing some absolutely tasty shrimp fajitas for dinner…which equates to a pretty great day. I look forward to their wedding at the end of the month!
